Hi. Yes, I'm still poking around here... Just thought I would take a minute to post this. I saw many Fall subway art printables on pinterest...but they all had the word football in them. I'm not so into football, so I thought I would make my own. (and, in my effort to post it to pinterest, I am posting it here too!)
Feel free to use it!

snowy owls
Snowy owls have been making themselves at home, relatively close to ours. So, we thought we should go and look at them.
cousins
We were so happy to have family come home for a visit. We miss them so much. And, I got to hold my new niece! I thought I would just post two pictures of all the cousins together, one from 2007 and one from now. Funny, how much can change in 5 short years!
Disneyland: Day 5
Our last day.
I can honestly say, I didn't want to leave and am already dreaming of when we can go again...
And, thank you SO much to my parents, who took us on this holiday. We have so many memories to cherish.

Legoland
Okay, I'm back. :)
On our fifth day in California, we took a bus down to San Diego, to Legoland! My thoughts on Legoland you might ask? It is great for kids. Adults...not so much... ;) But, that's okay, it's not always about us, right?

Disneyland: Day 4
Today was spent in California Adventures.
This is the day it poured. And I mean poured. I am no rain wimp. I live on the Wet Coast. This rain rivalled any that we've had here. Here are a few pictures before the camera was put away.

After dinner, we went back and wandered around Main Street.... and that is where we met the Mouse.
Disneyland: Day 3
Today, we ddin't break out the camera much...apparently. But, we spent the day exploring Frontierland and New Orleans Square.
One of our favourite dinner spots...IHOP :)

This is in California Adventures, as we were waiting for the World of Color. It was so amazing. I highly recommend it.
Disneyland: Day 2
With a good night's rest and tummies full of complimentary breakfasts we made our way back to Disneyland. On today's agenda... Fantasyland.
The boy is on here, too...
My boy and Pluto right after the dog gave him a big ol' lick.
(I love this picture, by the way.)
Disneyland: Day 1
We left home super early, and caught a flight to LAX. My boy's first airplane ride - he did great. We took a shuttle to our hotel, checked in and made a B-line for Disneyland! so exciting. (and a bit overwhelming). Being as though it was February, we had to catch a few of the attractions today, as it was Sunday and not all things were happening during the week. (ie. fireworks)
(so... it was really hard picking a picture that I didn't look like a crazy person trying to devour my sons head... note to self: dial back the crazy a little bit.)
Fireworks. (Thank you to my husband who perservered and got some great shots of the fireworks).
Favourite memory of day 1. When my boy met Goofy. I fully anticipated that he wouldn't want to meet any of the characters, as he has be terrified of that sort of thing forever. But Goofy was a pro. He saw that the little man was shy / scared and mangaed to get a high five and a hug! Thanks Goofy :)

bread
My first attempt at 'no knead artisan bread'. It was a hit (I know this for a fact, because as I was walking out the door for a meeting, my boy took his first bite and yelled 'YUMMY'.) I am looking forward to trying it again and experementing with shapes. And, I will have ample opportunity as I have a whole container of dough in the fridge to play with.

painting
After living in our house for almost 5 years, we are *finally* getting rid of the purple room. This is our office / craft room. As I sit here, it is still a work in process, but I will show you the finished product soon...I hope. I think this space has been the most challenging and the reason we have put it off for so long, is the amount of *stuff* in here.

Happy New Years!
A New Year. A Fresh Start. A New Blog? Well, obviously, I didn't finsih my challenge for 2011, close but not close enough. I, however, don't consider it a failure. I have learned so much about myself and my camera. 351 posts are nothing to sneeze at!
Now the question is, what am I going to do in 2012? Simple. I will keep blogging, but I am not planning on holding myself to 'a photo a day'. I want to keep learning, and experimenting with photography. I am hoping that by removing the 'stress' and necessity of taking a picture a day, I will be able to feel creative and inspired, again.
Thank you to everyone who has followed me this past year, your comments on here and on facebook have meant a lot to me. Happy 2012!
