day 351

Christmas brunch.

day 350

So, here is the reason I was super excited and couldn't sleep and felt a bit sick to my stomach :)  My parents are taking us to DISNEYLAND!!!! We've been planning and scheming about how to tell the boy.  I couldn't wait until I saw his reaction.  So excited.  His reaction, you might ask? After my Mom told him the news, he looked at her, looked at the balloon and asked..."Did you see my playmobil". sheesh.  I know he is excited and he was just taking it all in.  Silly boy.

day 349

And we are excited for candy...

day 348

Christmas Morning. 4:30.
The time may have been my fault.  First of all, genetics. Secondly....when your son walks into your room at 4:00 because he was going to use the bathroom, do not greet him by saying 'Good Morning'.... even if you were startled.  "What?! Mommy?! I just got up to use the bathroom, and it's already morning!?!??!?!"  Going back to sleep did NOT happen....besides, I was a little excited too (shh)

day 346

I love it when he is lost in his own little world.

day 345

Here is my little man in our Church's Christmas Play.  Charlie Brown Christmas.  They did a great job.  I especially loved Schroeder :)

day 344

Antler malfunction at the boy's school Christmas concert.

Oh, he fixed it.  goofball.

day 343

Breakfast with Santa... this is the best photo I got..... what?!   (apologies to my niece).

day 342

Back to 2011

I was so excited to be able to help in my boy's class.  They got to make Gingerbread houses.  It was funny watching the kids.  At first they were careful and reserved with what candy they put on their house, but by the end they were slathering on the icing and dumping candy on top.  :)

day 341

Winter 2007 / 08

day 340

day 339

Christmas 2007 - What do you mean, the Toy Store is closed? (not actually what happened, but kinda looks like it.  He actually decided to sit down on the brick and then realized that it was cold).  Aww, I just noticed now, that he is holding his little pony in his hand.  So cute.

day 338

Okay, I've come to the conclusion that this 365 Photo Challenge thingy is near impossible to keep up with at Christmas time.  So, please forgive me as we have many a few flashbacks to some favourite memories of Christmas' past.

Christmas 2007 - The Train Table reaction.  (The boy, 2)

day 337

Playing with Christmas lights.

day 336

Decorating the tree.

day 335

Toilet paper roll snowflake.

day 334

My son's prayer: "Thank you, God for Jesus.  And, I hope he has a really great Birthday party".  The countdown to Christmas Day has begun.

day 333

While looking for the previous picture... I rediscovered this one (and since I needed filler, here it is).  Love this one, too.

day 332

Do you have some photos that you absolutely love? Although, I wish this was a 'perfect' picture and was nice and clear... it might not bring back the same memories.  The memories of my boy waking up from his afternoon nap to see our Christmas tree all lit up for the first time, of one of us rushing to get the camera to capture this sweet face.  This picture might not have existed if we had been aiming for technical perfection.  So, I will always cherish this photo.

day 331

This year, I have found myself inspired to decorate with what I have.  Adding a bit of 'whimsy' to the everyday.  (Thank you Pinterest!).  So, I find myself dressing up various things around my house.  These are normally large picture frames in the playroom.  More to come... wait till you see what i did with some toilet paper tubes!  :)

day 330

Learning to give.
