What surprise awaited me when I opened my front door tonight? Snow!  And, enough of it to stick.  I had to take a picture to document the first snow of the season!  (it can stop for now though... there would be a pretty sad little 6 year old if the snow cancelled his party).

Today, my mom and I went shopping :)  I scored these really neat tongs for, wait for it... free. Thats right.  They were completely tarnished and seized up, but with a little elbow grease look at them!  I'm pretty thrilled about them...doesn't take much apparently.

Sooo... my blog is keeps getting away from me, and confession - this photo isn't from day 312...it is from a day in the near future.... BUT, what I want to remember from this day is.... after a big wind storm, watching my husband shovel leaves out of the gutters on our road so that the water can drain properly and seeing my little boy run for his shovel and follow his daddy up and down the street.  So sweet.

Welcome November... and welcome to the world,  my new little niece!  And, since distance is keeping us apart right now... I had to improvise on a baby shot.  Oh, I can't wait until I meet her (and see the rest of her family, too).
