day 299

Someone was VERY excited to be on a field trip to the pumpkin patch today...

day 298

day 297

Ack, I can't do it.  I have been putting of doing this post, because I have a picture for today...but I have decided that I just can't do that to my boy.  It involves tighty-whiteys somewhere other than where they are supposed to go.  At 5, almost 6 - it is HILARIOUS (apparently), but I just can't do it to the future teenager and adult that he will become.  So, I have had to find another picture for today.

day 296

Beautiful fall day on the West Coast.

day 295

Somebody scored his first goal today...

(wishing this picture was not blurry)

day 294

Flashback Friday.  Today was a pro-d day, and although we had plans to go to the beach... the torrential downpour outside kept us in.  And, that's okay.  We had a lazy pajama day instead.  We played hotwheels, did some crafts and finished a large puzzle.

day 293

Happy 2nd Birthday to my sweet nephew! What I love about him?  His generous heart, he will always share his cookie if you ask.  :)

day 292

This started a picture of some rust.  I thought it might look interesting, but upon enlarging it on my computer screen, I found that it just looked gross.  So, because I liked the colours, I decided to play around in photoshop.  I don't normally like these actions that make the picture look fake, but I kind of like how this turned out.  Actually, it is giving me ideas for wall art....

day 289

My husband got flowers today.  He likes to remind our neighbours when their car insurance has run out... and one neighbour REALLY appreciated it.

day 288

Family Birthday Cake - a recipe that has been passed down on my Dad's side all the way from my Great-Grandma.  There are rules for this cake.  You have to eat the inside first and savour the icing at the end.... that's the way it has always been done.  And, you have to retell the story of how Great-Grandma would cut slivers for everyone, and then give herself a huge piece.

This cake is to celebrate my Mom's birthday - Happy Birthday, Mom!

day 285

I think I'm a day behind, so I'll share some before and after shots with you.  I have been playing around with some older pictures with some actions from Oh So Posh Photography (they are really beautiful, the creator is quite generous, and has posted some freebies on facebook).  Have a look and let me know what you think.  :)

day ?

Hi everyone :) Sorry I've been MIA.  In a bit of a rut.  Hoping now that I have announced this in blogger-land, it will go away.  This is the home stretch.  I can do this.
