day 288

Family Birthday Cake - a recipe that has been passed down on my Dad's side all the way from my Great-Grandma.  There are rules for this cake.  You have to eat the inside first and savour the icing at the end.... that's the way it has always been done.  And, you have to retell the story of how Great-Grandma would cut slivers for everyone, and then give herself a huge piece.

This cake is to celebrate my Mom's birthday - Happy Birthday, Mom!
